Photography is my favorite way to connect to others, share my ideas, and pay tribute to what I value in this life. Capturing in print the feeling that a subject evokes in me is thrilling. I fall in love with the subject and want to bring it to life for all to see and to honor. Sometimes, I develop a theme in a series of photographs such as my current project on people at work - tradespersons, blue collar workers, laborers, artists, and other workers who deserve recognition.
Art photography belongs not only in art galleries and museums: it belongs where it can be enjoyed everyday. Imagine being surrounded by art at work in your home, while enjoying a great dinner in your favorite restaurant or sipping coffee in a neighborhood coffee shop. A photograph added to your home's interior design makes a statement about who you are and puts you in the company of those who support the arts.
